Free?

She is learning to smile

It has been a long while

He tells her she is free

She didn't know that was a way to be

She is trapped in the dark

she is running through a never ending park

She knows when it started but doesn't see an end

Sometimes she only wants to have a friend

Who will listen and understand

And who will always lend a hand

She starts to see a minuscule ray of light
